Coming Up: Roamer 1.2.3 and a New Product

There has been a lot of work going on around here and as a result we have some exciting news. A new version of Constellation Roamer is on its way! Even more exciting, though, is the imminent release of a Flash/Flex library for graph visualization!

One of the main features set to be included in the next release is zooming. In the current version, nodes will often go off-screen and the only way to see them is by drag-panning.

With zooming, it'll be possible to view the entire structure of the visualization at once—from a distance.

Some other features:

  • Zoom-to-fit functionality
  • Tooltip styling
  • Cross-domain Javascript interface

Constellation Framework

A library version of Constellation is also on its way. Constellation Roamer gives a lot of room for customization, but sometimes it's not enough. Constellation Framework will give Flash and Flex developers all the power in creating engaging graph visualizations tailored to their specific requirements.
